The Kalpavriksha, the wish-fulfilling tree, suggests that this image belongs to a deeper layer of human understanding. This handcrafted brass Kalpavriksha sculpture is a tabletop version of that truth, one of the most technically demanding pieces made by Aligarh artisans. The tree stands on a circular base engraved with root patterns, the roots as important as the canopy. The trunk rises strong before branching into individually cast branches, filled with leaves, each with its own vein and detail. Filling the crown with the fullness of a prime tree, one that gives everything it has.

Look closely, and you will find a small bird in the upper branches, barely visible but present, as a craftsman’s signature and a reminder that a living tree is never empty. Something always makes it home.

The crown's cutout nature, branches and leaves allowing open sky between them, means this sculpture is never the same twice. In the morning light, it is gold. In the evening, lamplight deepens to bronze. The tree breathes differently at every hour.
