This is not just a symbol of a tree; it is a living tree. Alive in brass, complete in every detail that provides a home for the world around it.

While most Tree of Life sculptures depict just the tree, this one captures the entire ecosystem. This distinction — between a symbol and a living world — marks the difference between mere decoration and true meaning.

The Kalpavriksha, the cosmic wish-fulfilling tree of Indian tradition, embodies a complete universe. It provides shade, fruit, shelter, water — everything needed for life. Ancient texts describe it as the tree at paradise’s center, where every pure-hearted wish is fulfilled. A truly alive tree, with ample roots and branches, prepares its answers before wishes are made.

This handcrafted brass Kalpavriksha wall plaque, measuring 30 x 20 cm, is the most narratively rich and ecologically complete piece in the Sepia India collection, showing not just a tree but an entire world.

The Crown: The canopy fills the upper two-thirds of the design with organically generous branches, leaves, and flowering clusters, creating an asymmetric, abundant look of a real tree in bloom. Each leaf has detailed casting, and clusters of five-petalled flowers appear among the leaves. The branches divide naturally, with main limbs thick and textured, while outer branches thin as they reach the edges.

The Nest: At the heart of the upper canopy, a bird's nest cradles two small chicks. This detail instills trust and safety in the tree — for it is a tree chosen by something small and vulnerable. Find the nest, and you’ll find everything else.

The Birds: At least three birds perch across the canopy, living within the tree like real birds do, blending with the surroundings.

The Deer: At the tree's base, two deer stand — one grazing, the other reaching for leaves or flowers. They embody the tree’s purpose, showing it nurtures the living things and creatures surrounding it.

The Ground: The composition's base shows grass, engraved to represent meadow texture, grounding the tree in reality. The trunk is thick, textured, and firmly rooted in the grass, branching into three main limbs for stability.
